The car made its debut at the Busan International Mobility Show and is part of the Genesis Magma program, highlighting the brand’s commitment to innovation and performance.

“Genesis is constantly pushing boundaries to deliver on our promise of safety, comfort, and an exceptional driving experience,” said Mike Song, Global Head of Genesis. “As Korea’s leading luxury brand, we listen to our customers and strive to fulfil their desires.”

A Symphony of Form and Function

The X Gran Racer VGT Concept builds upon the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Concept, the brand’s fourth car for the Gran Turismo video game series. This new iteration boasts enhanced aerodynamics for superior grip and handling. Active aerodynamic features and a flat underbody work together to optimise airflow and minimise drag.

The design incorporates the brand’s signature “Two-Line” crest grille lighting design, extending from front to rear for a cohesive look. A larger front splitter, rear diffuser, strategically placed turning vanes, and aggressive side skirts further enhance stability at high speeds.

The elongated wheelbase and short front overhangs create a timeless aesthetic. The Genesis emblem is prominently displayed on the voluminous wings, forming a powerful silhouette. The rear seamlessly integrates the “Two-Line” design into a dynamic form, showcasing the car’s concentrated energy.

A real carbon fibre rear wing provides downforce for improved stability, while integrated vertical taillights ensure visibility during races. The striking “Magma” paint complements the carbon fibre elements, adding a touch of exclusivity and refinement.

The Beauty of White Space: A Driver-Centric Interior

The X Gran Racer VGT Concept’s interior embodies Genesis’ design philosophy of “The Beauty of White Space,” where minimalism and performance meet. Inspired by racing, the interior prioritizes essential functions for an exceptional driver experience. Exposed structural elements minimise weight while emphasising the car’s core purpose. A fully integrated roll cage, roll bar element, and strong cross beams enhance functionality without sacrificing aesthetics.

Digital Panorama Interface and High-Performance Racing Yoke

A panoramic display serves as the Digital Panorama Interface, providing drivers with a comprehensive view of essential vehicle information. This intuitive interface minimises distractions and allows drivers to make quick decisions.

Carbon fibre accents throughout the interior exude dynamism and power. Quilted padding on contact points offers exceptional comfort and support during races. A high-performance racing yoke replaces the traditional steering wheel, providing drivers with intuitive control and easy access to race functions. This innovative design fosters a closer connection between driver and car.

Unrelenting Pursuit of Performance

The X Gran Racer VGT Concept boasts a front mid-mounted, race-spec Lambda II V6 engine enhanced with Genesis’ electric supercharger (e-S/C) technology. This hybrid powertrain delivers a staggering 1,540 horsepower and 1,051 lb-ft of torque, significantly exceeding the 1,071 horsepower of the X Gran Berlinetta Concept. The V6 engine generates 870 horsepower and 790 lb-ft at 10,000 rpm, while the front electric motor contributes an additional 670 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque.

The brand prioritises “Athletic Elegance” in its design language, seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional features. With a commitment to sustainability, Genesis aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035.
