Making the F-150 Lightning electric pick-up truck more affordable, Ford has launched a new Flash variant, which packs most of the customer-favourite features at an attractive price tag of $69,990.
The Ford F-150 Lightning Flash sits above the base Lighting Pro and Lighting XLT. It offers a claimed range of 515km on a single charge and benefits from a pool of 84,000 public chargers in the US.
Marin Gjaja, Chief Operating Officer at Ford Model e said, “The F-150 Lightning Flash is a direct outcome of engaging with and learning from our customers. This truck combines many of the technology-forward features our customers love in our EV lineup, at a more accessible price. With an EPA-estimated 320 miles of range, the Lightning Flash is another example of the speed at which we are adapting to grow our EV business.”
Packed With Customer-Favourite Features
Speaking of other details of the F-150 Lightning Flash, it offers version 1.2 of Ford’s autonomous driving assistance, hands-free lane change assist, a 15.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a B&O sound system with 8 speakers and a subwoofer, a wireless charging pad and a powered tailgate.
Orders To Begin In March 2024
Ford plans to begin accepting online orders for the F-150 Lightning Flash in early 2024. Additionally, from March 2024 onwards, Ford F-150 Lightning customers will also be able to access more than 12,000 Tesla Superchargers — making it the largest integrated fast-charge network across the U.S. and Canada.
