Central to the package are the distinctive 20-inch wheels, featuring a classic five-spoke design reminiscent of the 1965 model. The inclusion of these wheels offers a departure from contemporary trends towards more intricate designs. Additionally, design elements such as the 5.0 badges, side stripes, and GT badge on the boot lid draw inspiration from the styling cues of the original 1965 model, adding a touch of nostalgia to the modern iteration.
The exterior enhancements extend to a unique grille incorporating a retro mesh design and silver accents on the nostrils, complemented by smoked headlights and shiny side mirror caps. The package is available in a limited selection of colours including white, Race Red, or Vapour Blue, with corresponding options for side stripe colour and interior trim in grey, red, or black.
Despite its vintage-inspired appearance, the 60th Anniversary Package retains the performance prowess of the Mustang GT, featuring the same 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 486PS of power. Transmission options include a six-speed manual or a 10-speed torque converter automatic. The package is exclusively offered on GT Premium trim models, with the choice between a convertible or fixed roof configuration.
In addition to the Anniversary Package, Ford introduces the Heritage gauge cluster for all 2024 Mustangs, reminiscent of retro dial designs from 1967. This feature will be made available to existing seventh-generation Mustang owners through an over-the-air update, which should roll out soon.
The Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Edition is limited to a production run of 1,965 units. Pricing details for the 2025 model year will be disclosed closer to its dealership release. Ford has also set up a Mustang Experience Centre for the owners and fans to come together and relish the rich heritage of the Mustang name place. The centre is set to open next year and will serve a variety of Mustang owners; ranging from track racing to merchandise collection.
