EVR Motors becomes first Israeli auto firm to set up factory in India

EVR Motors factory inauguration at Manesar, Haryana

Israel-based EVR Motors, which specialises in high power-density electric motors, has opened a factory in Manesar, Haryana, under its subsidiary, I.EVR Motors Pvt Ltd. This facility makes it the first Israeli auto firm to set up a base in India and is a crucial step for EVR’s global production strategy. The company’s state-of-the-art plant in Manesar will produce trapezoidal geometry coils, a patented key component of its Trapezoidal Stator Radial Flux Permanent Magnet (RFPM) motor technology.

The RFPM motor technology has already received 11 patents and is capable of supporting a wide range of applications from two- and three-wheelers to passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and off-road vehicles. The trapezoidal geometry coils are touted to be smaller, lighter, and more cost-effective. They are known for their flexibility, which allows them to meet diverse customer needs. EVR’s new facility is highly automated and in its initial capacity, it can supply coils for approximately 20,000 motors per month. The company plans to rapidly expand the output to around 100,000 motors to meet the increasing global demand for electric vehicles.

The company has already secured commercial agreements with various players in the Indian automotive landscape such as Napino, Belrise Group, EKA Mobility, and RSB Transmissions. These partnerships will strengthen the supply chain and EVR’s foothold in both the Indian and international markets. Commenting on the inauguration of the new factory, Sajal Kishore, MD of I.EVR Motors Pvt Ltd., said “By establishing this facility, we ensure a reliable supply chain and support our growth plans in India and globally. This venture exemplifies India-Israel business cooperation and embodies our vision of ‘Make in India for the world.’ Our greenfield investment highlights our confidence in the Indian market and trust in its burgeoning mobility sector.”

In another strategic move, EVR appointed Nick Rogers as the Chairman of the company. The former Executive Director of Product Engineering at JLR, said, “The opening of our new manufacturing plant in Manesar marks a major milestone in EVR’s mission to transform electric mobility through pioneering motor technologies. By establishing our own production facility for these electric motor coils, we’re securing a critical component and ensuring a robust, stable supply chain for our customers.”
