Driver-focused and connected vehicles

Truck drivers usually drive for many kilometres at a stretch and often get very less or no rest in between trips. Eicher says that its new range of trucks promise to reduce fatigue for drivers by reducing continuous shifting of gears and providing a seamless driving experience.

Further, the cabins of these trucks have been designed in a way to provide enhanced comfort for drivers while real-time guidance and predictive diagnostic solutions help reduce the down-time of these vehicles.

“Backed by our industry-leading Uptime Center and MyEicher App, this new range will deliver more productivity and profitability for Eicher customers,” said Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO, Volvo Eicher Joint Venture (VECV).

Infrastructure is the key

The commercial vehicle entity has backed its vehicle range with a strong infrastructure consisting of more than 850 touchpoints across the country.

These include 425+ authorized service centers and over 8,000 retail centers for parts. Then there are more than 240 on-site support units for those trucks that operate in remote localities where workshops are not available. The on-site support units are serving over 150 customers and 12,000 vehicles directly at the customers sites.
