Ducati and Bentley have collaborated to create a limited edition of the former’s Diavel power cruiser, called the Ducati Diavel for Bentley. The bike debuted at the Art Basel Miami Beach event last week. The special edition of the Diavel pays tribute to the Batur, which is Bentley’s most powerful production car to date, hand-built by Mulliner, the oldest coachbuilder in the world and Bentley’s in-house bespoke division. Only 18 examples of the Batur will be commissioned, which are sold out. To ensure the Ducati Diavel for Bentley also remains an exclusive offering, only 500 examples of it will be made. However, beyond these 500 units, the brands claim there will be an additional 50 “even more special” Diavels up for grabs. These 50, called “Ducati Diavel for Bentley Mulliner,” will be reserved for Bentley customers who can personalise them.
Diavel for Bentley
The Centro Stile Ducati, in collaboration with Bentley designers, has worked on several components of the Diavel to incorporate multiple characteristic features of the Batur into the bike. For example, the bespoke forged rims, finished in Dark Titanium Satin, recall the shapes of those of the car. Further, the side air intakes reflect the two-tone front grille, the front mudguard, fairing, and the upper view of the tank recall the ribs on the front bonnet, and the tail-end, which can be replaced with a passenger seat, is inspired by the rear design of the Batur. The rider’s seat, finished in black Alcantara, is inspired by the Batur’s interior. Many of the body panels of the Diavel for Bentley are made from carbon fibre, and the Scarab Green colour used throughout the bodywork is taken from the Bentley Mulliner palette.
Diavel for Bentley Mulliner
The 50 Diavel for Bentley Mulliner units will be reserved for Mulliner customers. In direct collaboration with the designers of the Centro Stile Ducati, these customers will be able to configure their Diavel for Bentley Mulliner with different colours for the saddle, front brake callipers, carbon fibre parts and rims. They will also have the option to choose the same colour as their car for the motorcycle.
Delivery Details
Each Diavel for Bentley will be delivered in a personalised wooden case, with a certificate of authenticity, a passenger seat, and a motorcycle cover. A plate inserted in the carbon fibre cover of the vertical head bears the name of the model and the production number of the unit. The instrument cluster and the LED signature of the rear light cluster offer a bespoke start-up animation.
