BMW Motorrad India extends its M motorcycle range with the launch of the M 1000 R. While the standard roadster variant retails at INR 33 lakh, its Competition spec will cost you INR 38 lakh (ex-showroom).
Most Powerful Naked Sport
The BMW M 1000 R is the most powerful naked superbike money can buy. It has a 999cc 4-cylinder engine pumping out 212 HP at 14500 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 11000 rpm. Its engine features BMW’s Shiftcam technology which ensures great low-end torque delivery at low speeds and higher peak power at higher engine speeds. BMW claims a 0-100 kmph time of 3.2 seconds and 280 kmph top speed for the M 1000 R.
Features Galore
The M 1000 R packs a 6.5-inch TFT screen which can be used to access the 5 riding modes it has to offer — Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race and Race Pro1-3. Additionally, it also has an array of safety features like wheelie control, dynamic traction control, launch control, traction control and ABS Pro.
M Competition Pack
Carrying a price premium of INR 5 lakh over the standard variant, the M 1000 R Competition offers a few add-ons. These include an exclusive M Blackstorm metallic paint scheme, M carbon wheels, a fully adjustable rider footrest system and M carbon parts such as rear wheel cover, tank cover, wind deflector, chain sprocket cover and pillion cover.
