In collaboration with Mulliner, Bentley Motors announces the release of a limited edition Bentley Bentayga, named the Private White V.C. Bentayga. This unique vehicle, commissioned by Bentley Manchester and Mulliner, celebrates British heritage, craftsmanship, and luxury fashion, reflecting the rich history of Private White V.C. and Bentley Motors.
The bespoke Bentayga, inspired by the bravery of Private Jack White, recipient of the Victoria Cross during World War 1, incorporates various elements reminiscent of his heroic actions. The interior features copper detailing, symbolising the telephone line used by White during his courageous rescue mission. Clean sewing lines, reminiscent of military-inspired clothing, adorn the seats and door interiors, while bespoke embroidery, including the Victoria Cross emblem, adds a personalised touch.
Furthermore, the cabin includes loose cushions crafted from a specially commissioned Lancashire-woven cashmere cloth, paying homage to White’s regimental blanket stripe. The dashboard boasts anodised copper organ stops and a silhouette of ‘Cottenham House’, the Private White V.C. factory, adding subtle yet meaningful touches to the design. Additionally, hidden details such as embroidered bulldogs in the door pockets nod to the company’s heritage.
Externally, the Bentayga is finished in Dark Sapphire with Blackline Specification and rear privacy glass. The bespoke 22” wheels feature bright machined colour-matched accents, adorned with Private White V.C. bespoke badging and subtle copper accents, completing the sophisticated exterior. Customers purchasing this limited edition Bentayga will also receive a capsule collection of bespoke clothing from Private White V.C., further elevating the exclusive experience.
Jack White, born Jacob Weiss in 1896, served with distinction during World War 1, earning the Victoria Cross for his bravery. Following his military service, he became a successful businessman, eventually owning the raincoat factory where he began his career. Private White V.C. has a rich history of supplying high-quality garments to military and civilian markets, dating back over a century.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Private White V.C. demonstrated its commitment to community service by manufacturing medical-grade gowns and surgical masks for the Department of Health & Social Care, contributing to the national effort to combat the virus.
The collaboration between Bentley Motors, Mulliner, and Private White V.C. honours the legacy of Private Jack White, blending automotive excellence with timeless style and craftsmanship. The Private White V.C. Bentayga is a tribute to courage, innovation, and British heritage.
