Bajaj Motorcycles has brought the biggest Pulsar to the market and it’s called the NS400z. While it shares its perimeter frame with the NS200, it features a rigid swing arm and reinforced frame to handle all the extra power from the bigger engine.
The new engine boasts a displacement of 373cc that puts out 40PS of power at 8800rpm and 35Nm of torque at 6500rpm. The engine features liquid cooling, a slipper clutch and a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by a 43mm upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Tyre sizes stand at 110/70/R17 at the front and 140/70/R17 at the rear. Taking care of braking is a 320mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear.
Moving to its features, the Pulsar NS400z introduces ride-by-wire to the range, which enables the motorcycle to offer four riding modes — Road, Rain, Sport and Offroad. The offroad mode of the NS400z is tuned for a superior braking performance on loose surfaces than outright trail riding. The Pulsar NS400z also packs traction control, an all-LED headlight with integrated DRLs and indicators, adjustable levers, USB charging socket and an emergency signal switch.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS400z also packs an all-new digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The Bluetooth functionality enables it to offer features such as turn by turn navigation, music control, accept or reject calls, lap timer, brightness control, mobile charge status and mobile network status. Coming to its vital specs, the Pulsar NS400z boasts a seat height of 807mm, fuel tank capacity of 12 litres, kerb weight of 174 kgs, wheelbase of 1344mm and ground clearance of 168mm.
Bajaj has launched the new Pulsar NS400z at a limited introductory price of INR 1.85 lakh, ex-showroom. It will be available in a single variant and four colour options — red, black, white and grey. Bookings for the new Pulsar NS400z are open with a token amount of INR 5,000. Alongside the launch of the new Pulsar NS400z, Bajaj also confirmed the launch of its commuter CNG bike, which is scheduled for June 18.
