Austin Pedal Cars collaborates with Holland & Sherry for a bespoke J40 Continuation car

Austin Pedal Cars (APC), formerly known as the J40 Motor Company, is the only dedicated Austin J40 pedal car sales, service, restoration & community specialist in the world. The British restoration specialist has collaborated with renowned Savile Row clothmaker Holland & Sherry to create an exclusive Austin J40 Continuation pedal car built especially for the 2024 Concours on Savile Row event. Holland & Sherry has supplied bespoke tailors, haute couture designers, and global luxury brands with some of the finest cloth materials in the world since 1836.

With a hand-made aluminium body and a lightweight pedal system, the APC J40 Continuation is a brand-new model that presents a modern take on the classic J40 pedal car. The car’s bespoke interior is finished in the finest Holland & Sherry cloth and features an individually designed and tailored seat, perfectly complimented by a handbrake gaiter trimmed to match. The cloth, chosen to match the car’s turquoise paintwork, has also been used in a range of unique accessories, including a leather satchel and tool roll. The car also features aluminium wheels with chromed hub caps, a rack and pinion steering system, an opening bonnet with rocker cover and spark plugs, working headlights, horn, and instrument panel, and a three-spoke, wood rim Moto-Lita steering wheel.

The exclusive Savile Row collaboration has also led to the launch of a bespoke design programme for the APC J40 Continuation, which allows owners the opportunity to order a new Austin J40 built to their specifications. Owners can choose from an almost unlimited colour palette, have the option of specifying custom elements, and will have a wide range of interior finishes, including a range of Holland & Sherry cloths, to choose from.

The one-of-one Holland & Sherry Austin J40 Continuation is up for sale. Interested buyers can contact APC directly for more information.
