Ahead of its official launch in August, Audi has announced a new addition to the Q6 E-Tron family – the Q6 E-Tron Performance. This variant prioritises efficiency and boasts an impressive range, making it the Q6 variant with the most range over a single charge.
The Q6 E-Tron Performance stands out with its rear-wheel-drive configuration, a first for the PPE platform. This, combined with a newly developed 100 kWh battery (net capacity: 94.9 kWh), allows the car to achieve a remarkable WLTP-estimated range of up to 641 kilometres (398 miles). This extended range places it at the forefront of the Q6 E-Tron lineup.
While not the most powerful option, the Q6 E-Tron Performance offers a permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 240 kW (326PS) and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.6 seconds. This combination makes it ideal for drivers seeking a balance between long-distance capability, dynamic performance, and everyday practicality.
Furthermore, the Q6 E-Tron Performance excels in terms of charging efficiency. With a suitable fast-charging station, it can regain up to 260 kilometres (162 miles) of range in just 10 minutes. This ensures a high level of comfort even on extended journeys, minimising downtime spent charging.
The Q6 E-Tron Performance represents the most affordable entry point into the Q6 E-Tron family. It starts at an attractive price of EUR 68,800, making it an attractive option for a wider range of eco-conscious car buyers. Deliveries are expected to begin in the third quarter of this year, following the August launch of the Q6 E-Tron Quattro and SQ6 E-Tron variants.
The new Q6 E-Tron joins the higher grade Q6 variants, which are Q6 and SQ6 with all-wheel-drive as standard. Speaking of specifications, the Q6 E-Tron offers 387PS of power whereas the SQ6 E-Tron offers 516PS of power. As a result, the SQ6 E-Tron can sprint from a standstill to 100kmph in 4.3 seconds, which is considerably faster than the standard Q6’s time of 5.9 seconds.
