Hyundai Motor North America has welcomed Jim Park as the new Senior Vice President for commercial vehicle and hydrogen business development, effective from June 12. With a remarkable career spanning over three decades in the automotive industry, Park’s leadership roles at Harman-Samsung and Chrysler have paved the way for his latest venture.
In his freshly minted capacity, Park will take the reins of Hyundai’s hydrogen ventures across North America. This entails overseeing facets such as commercial vehicle sales, infrastructure development, hydrogen commercialization, and prospective mobility solutions. Reporting directly to Jose Munoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor North America, as well as President and Global COO of Hyundai Motor Company, Park will also functionally collaborate with Ken Ramirez, Executive Vice President and head of global commercial vehicle and hydrogen business at Hyundai Motor Company.
The appointment aligns seamlessly with Hyundai’s commitment to propel hydrogen technology’s development, championing it as a scalable, zero-emissions solution with broad applications. Munoz asserted, “Jim’s extensive career in automotive business development will help us build the team and obtain the tools and resources we need to continue our hydrogen expansion in North America.”
