All women bike rally flagged off atop TVS Apache RTR 200, Ronin bikes

The rally features seasoned women riders from across India, including serving women of the Armed Forces.

In a spirited tribute to the gallantry of the Indian Army during the Kargil War, the Hon’ble LG of Ladakh, Brig (Dr) B D Mishra, flagged off an inspiring all women bike rally from Leh’s Hall of Fame. The rally, comprising 25 riders from diverse backgrounds, marks a poignant celebration as part of the Rajat Jayanti Mahotsav of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

Led by the General Officer Commanding, Fire & Fury Corps, Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, SC**, SM, VSM, and joined by Mr. Vimal Sumbly, Head Business – Premium at TVS Motor Company, the flagging off ceremony symbolised the commencement of a remarkable journey. The rally features seasoned women riders from across India, including serving women of the Armed Forces, military spouses, and civilian enthusiasts. Mounted on robust TVS Apache and TVS Ronin motorcycles, these riders embody determination and resilience.

Spanning 12 days and covering over 2,000 kilometers through the challenging terrain of Ladakh, the rally is not merely a test of endurance but a heartfelt homage to the sacrifices of the Armed Forces. It will traverse iconic landmarks, including the world’s highest motorable passes of Khardung La and Umling La, before culminating at the Kargil War Memorial.

Vimal Sumbly of TVS Motor Company expressed pride in supporting this significant expedition for the second consecutive year. “We are honored to collaborate with the Indian Army in celebrating their valor and service to the nation. With our robust community of 5.5 million TVS Apache and TVS Ronin customers globally, we are confident that our motorcycles will excel on the challenging terrains this rally will traverse,” he remarked.
