HL Mando Parkie

South Korean automaker HL Mando introduced “Parkie,” an autonomous parking solution at CES. The system, set to be available in South Korea by year-end, utilises two bots to lift and manoeuvre cars in existing garages without major infrastructure changes. Parkie won the Best Innovation Award for its ability to recognise obstacles, roads, and licence plate numbers, and independently determine car size and type, reducing parking space needs by up to 30%. HL Mando also showcased MiCOSA, a data-driven automotive software solution, at the event, highlighting their commitment to autonomous driving.

Skwheel One

Skiing, known for its excitement and community during winter, faces challenges due to climate change affecting snow-capped mountains. SKWHEEL One emerges as an innovative solution — electric skis designed for any terrain and all times of the year. Equipped with all-wheel-drive skis and all-terrain wheels, SKWHEEL One can achieve speeds of up to 50 miles per hour (80km/hr) on various surfaces, including sand, asphalt, and forest paths. This capability is attributed to the 600W motors in each wheel, totalling 2400W of power. The skis have a factory speed limit of 25 km/hr (15.5mph) for city settings.

Squad Mobility’s solar-powered EV

Squad Mobility’s Solar City car is a solar-powered, compact solution designed for city living. With a 250Wp solar panel, it covers around 13 miles on energy collected in places like Las Vegas. Weighing just 794 pounds, it’s efficient for short-distance travel at 25mph. Despite some quirks in the prototype, like pedal placement, the production version promises refinement. Its compact 6.6-foot length allows for sideways parking, making it an ideal city vehicle. Priced at $6,250 (excluding tax), it offers an affordable and eco-friendly option, though additional costs for features like doors are optional.

LifeSpan’s Ampera

The power-generating LifeSpan Ampera under desk bike is positioned as an innovative solution for modern workspaces.
