2025 Honda Civic gets new hybrid trims, sportier styling

2025 Honda Civic Sedan Sport Touring Hybrid

Japanese automaker Honda Motor has refreshed the Civic sedan with sportier aesthetics and advanced features. The 2025 Civic builds on the 11th generation model, which also won the 2022 North American Car of the Year title. The refreshed model has also received a substantial power boost through its available two-motor hybrid powertrain. It gets an anticipated EPA combined fuel economy rating approaching 50 mpg.

The 2025 Civic will be available in four trim levels, with hybrid-electric models expected to account for 40% of Civic sales. The sedan will be available for purchase at dealerships from next month, followed by the hatchback later this summer. Lance Woelfer, Assistant Vice President of Honda National Auto Sales, highlights the Civic hybrid’s strategic importance in Honda’s electrified lineup.

Performance Highlights:
The 2025 Civic hybrid models come with the new engine with an expected output of 200 hp and 232 lb. -fs. of torque, making the cars accelerate strongly and also giving magnificent fuel efficiency to them. The two-motor hybrid system has more emphasis on efficiency of the vehicle and space inside the car. Consumers also get selectable driving modes and regenerative braking profiles.

Design and Features:
Exterior enhancements on the 2025 Civic include a more aggressive front fascia while the interior receives updates such as a gray color option. The new Sport Touring Hybrid model brings a new level of comfort with its leather seats and BOSE sound system. The another opulent trim level – the Sport Touring Hybrid – comes with Google in-car services such as Google Assistant and Google Play for controlling connectivity, navigation, as well as media.

Safety Features:
The 11th-generation Civic features advanced active and passive safety technologies as standard across all models. The Honda Sensing suite offers various driver assistance features including Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) with Pedestrian Detection; Forward Collision Warning; Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) incorporating Lane Departure Warning (LDW); Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS); and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). All Sport models are now also equipped with Blind Spot with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
