Before diving deep into the performance stats, here is a quick run-through of the visual changes on the updated 2025 Cadilla CT5-V and Blackwing. Both models boast a redesigned front fascia, which is further differentiated from each other than the outgoing model. The Blackwing features a more prominent front bumper and aero-ground effects.
Both sedans feature an updated set of LED headlights, tail lights, welcome lights, three new colours, and quad trapezoid exhaust tips. The Blackwing also features a good load of carbon fibre trims for added sportiness.
On the technology front, Cadillac has introduced a host of updates to the 2025 CT5-V. Sitting at the centre of the dashboard is the new 33-inch diagonal LED display, which incorporates both the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Unlike other cars that use two individual displays in a single glass casing, the new Cadillac sedans incorporate a single display without any fake joint, giving it a cohesive look.
The updated infotainment system brings a suite of performance info, in the form of a lap analyser tool, improved graphics and real-time lap time improvement, which is integrated with the head-up display. Furthermore, the infotainment also packs in-built Google apps like Google Assistant, Maps and Play Store and also offers a refined HVAC control experience.
Coming to the performance of the Cadillac CT5-V and Blackwing, both sedans continue with the earlier engine options, albeit with a few modifications. The CT5-V comes with a 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine, which puts out 365PS and comes mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Blackwing, on the other hand, offers a 6.2L supercharged V8 petrol engine, putting out 677PS through a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed auto.
Braking duties are handled by Brembo front and rear brakes, which enables the Blackwing to offer features like Line Lock and launch control for optimum tyre temperature and powerful acceleration. The new 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and Blackwing will make their public debut at the Rolex 24 At DAYTONA serving as a safety car.
