2024 Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid packs 544PS and more electric range

The main talking point about the new Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid is of course its plug-in hybrid powertrain. Porsche is offering the plug-in hybrid powertrain in two options — 4 and 4S — which are further expanded in 2 variant lines. Both the 4 and 4S E-Hybrid make use of a 2.9L bi-turbo V6 petrol engine and a 25.9kWh battery pack.

In the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, the V6 petrol engine puts out 304PS of power, which with the electric motor assistance rises to 470PS while the torque output stands at 650Nm. As a result, the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid can manage to sprint from a standstill to 100kmph in 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 280kmph.

Buyers who seek even more performance get the option to move to the 4S E-Hybrid. The S suffix in the 4S boosts the combined power to 544PS and 750Nm of torque. The engine output is increased and tuned to offer sustained power delivery in the upper range of the rev band. As a result, the 4S E-Hybrid takes 3.7 seconds to reach 100kmph while also managing to edge the top speed by 10kmph over the 4 E-Hybrid. Additionally, both the 4 and 4S E-Hybrid models can run for up to 90km without using any drop of petrol, given that the battery is fully juiced up.

To have a convenient charging experience, the new E-Hybrid system of the Panamera offers faster charging speeds than the last generation E-Hybrid. Firstly, the high-voltage battery pack offers 45% more capacity in a comparable space while also supporting faster charging. The system also packs an 11kW AC fast charger, which is capable of juicing up the battery pack in 2 hours and 39 minutes. Furthermore, the new electric motor is also capable of recuperating up to 88kW of power, further increasing the convenience.

The 2024 Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid model range is now available to order and like the new-gen Panamera, the E-Hybrid variants also offer a slew of standard equipment. These include ParkAssist, a cooled smartphone tray for wireless charging, two-chamber air suspension and sporty exterior decals. Buyers can also choose rear-axle steering, remote ParkAssist, and Porsche InnoDrive including active lane keeping, passenger display and air quality system.
