The 2024 Nissan Qashqai, a facelift of the third-generation model, was revealed last month. It has now entered production at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in the UK, and the company has also announced its UK pricing. Customers can start ordering the crossover from next month.
The 2024 Nissan Qashqai range starts from £30,135 for the Acenta Premium trim and goes up to £38,875 for the range-topping Tekna+ (ePower) trim. The starting price has gone up £3,000 over the pre-facelift model due to the departure of the entry-level Visia trim. The Qashqai has been an immensely successful model for Nissan in the UK – the first generation model became the fastest UK-built car to achieve the one-million, two-million, three-million, and four-million production milestones. In 2022, it became the UK’s best-selling car.
Despite being a facelift, the 2024 Qashqai features some significant updates inside and out. Key exterior changes include new headlamps & DRLs, tail lamps, and a re-profiled rear bumper.
The brief to make the Qashqai more efficient and improve its rolling refinement led to the addition of thicker windows and more extensive use of aluminium panels to make it lighter by about 60kg. The exterior design changes are said to reduce wind noise at high speed.
The 2024 Qashqai’s digital interface has also been updated to improve graphic quality and processing times, and the infotainment system uses Google’s Android Auto operating system on higher trim levels, making it more potent.
The Qashqai is powered exclusively by electrified powertrains. So, customers can either opt for the 138bhp/148bhp mild-hybrid petrol powertrain or the 187bhp strong hybrid e-Power powertrain.
