The biggest perceptible change about the new 2024 ZX-6R is its updated face. It features a sharper twin-pot LED headlight design, which replaces the ubiquitous ZX face. Joining the updated headlight design is a sportier front cowl and windshield.
In the vision of the rider lies a new 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster, which offers an array of safety features such as 3 riding modes and smartphone connectivity, to name a few. The smartphone connectivity of the new ZX-6R offers features such as vehicle info, riding log, telephone notices and tuning general settings like preferred units and date format. Other additions to the 2024 Kawasaki ZX-6R include Kawasaki’s intelligent anti-lock braking system.
Moving towards the heart of the matter, the 2024 ZX-6R features a new 636cc inline-4 cylinder engine with dual overhead cams configuration. The engine features new cam profiles, intake funnels and revised designs for head and collector pipe. All these clever changes result in better low-rpm performance while also complying with the stringent emission norms.
With the added effect of RAM air intake, the ZX-6R reaches a peak power output of 129PS at 13,000rpm and peak torque of 69Nm at 11,000rpm. The engine channels power via a 6-speed sequential transmission, which is further complimented via an assist and slipper clutch. Riders can also use the bi-directional quick shifter for seamlessly rowing through gear ratios without any manual clutch application.
Speaking of other small additions, the new 2024 Kawasaki ZX-6R features Dual 310mm front discs with dual radial-mounted 4-piston monobloc callipers. Furthermore, it runs on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres measuring 120/70ZR17 M/C at the front and 180/55ZR17 M/C at the rear. Thanks to the incremental changes and more enhanced power delivery, the new ZX-6R promises to deliver a more exhilarating experience both on the track and on public roads, packed with a more appealing design.
