New e-hybrid powertrain
The highlight of the 2024 Jeep Avenger is the introduction of the new e-hybrid powertrain. This powertrain makes use of a 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine that’s mated to a pair of electric motors and a 48V battery pack. The engine channels power to the front wheels via a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic electric transmission.
While Jeep has not revealed the battery pack capacity for the Avenger e-hybrid, it is capable of driving for a short distance on sole battery power. In addition, Jeep also claims that the e-hybrid powertrain of the Avenger reduces CO2 emissions by 15% compared to its ICE derivate.
Like before, the Avenger continues to offer the 1.2L petrol powertrain in addition to the all-electric powertrain as well. Speaking more about the 1.2L petrol engine option, it produces 100PS of power at 5500rpm and 205Nm of torque at 1750rpm and comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The all-electric powertrain, on the other hand, uses a 400V electric motor channelling power to the front wheels only. The electric motor draws power from a 54kWh battery pack and promises a claimed range of over 600km in city use.
New feature enhancements
In addition to the e-hybrid powertrain, the new 2024 Avenger also packs a couple of new features and a restructured variant lineup. The new features of the updated Avenger include a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver’s seat with a massaging function and leatherette materials on multiple touchpoints inside the cabin.
Jeep has also cunningly restructured the variant lineup for the Jeep Avenger. The restructuring includes a rejig of multiple features depending on the use case of targeted customers. As a result, the Jeep Avenger EV now benefits from a price reduction of EUR 2000 compared to the MY23 Avenger specced with the same trim level.
