Fresh design and new features
The 2024 Honda Ridgeline offers a new front radiator grille with a unique mesh design and “RIDGELINE” branding is spread across the tailgate. On the inside, the new Ridgeline offers the 7.0-inch instrument cluster as standard fitment across all variants. The system packs a digital tachometer, an analogue speedometer and user-selectable functions.
Furthermore, all variants of the Ridgeline now also offer a new and larger 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The new system packs a faster processor promising a lag-free experience and wireless connectivity for both wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as part of the standard equipment.
Additionally, it also gets an updated navigation system and upgraded premium sound system. With the update, Honda has also added a new centre console featuring a larger integrated armrest and expanded storage. The large storage tray ahead of the gear selector can store 2 smartphones while incorporating Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging.
New TrailSport Variant
The highlight of the 2024 Ridgeline is the new TrailSport variant, which promises to deliver hardcore off-road performance. The TrailSport packs multiple off-road-specific changes over the Ridgeline, enhancing its off-road performance. To start with, the TrailSport comes with off-road tuned suspension featuring unique spring rates, damper valve tuning and stabiliser bars. These changes claim to increase the off-road ride quality and increase wheel articulation while retaining the on-road comfort and dynamics of the pick-up truck.
The Ridgeline TrailSport also features General Grabber A/T Sport tires (245/60R18), which are said to improve its performance in dirt, sand, mud and rocky terrain. Since it is intended to deal with more treacherous terrains over the standard Ridgeline, Honda has also added steel underbody protection, which protects the key engine components like the oil pan from sharp rocks and other off-road hazards.
Speaking of its cosmetic updates, the TrailSport offers a unique radiator grille design, with a more aggressive mesh finish. Other key exterior highlights include black door-pillar and side mirrors, 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels, grey front skid plate and TrailSport badging on the front grille and tailgate finished in bright orange colour.
The 2024 Ridgeline continues to offer Honda’s i-VTM4 all-wheel-drive system. The system is capable of channelling 70% of the engine torque to the rear axle, 100% of which can be channelled to each rear wheel, depending on the terrain. Its torque vectoring system is optimised for all kinds of terrains and works in conjunction with the traction control system.
