In our earlier listicle, we shared the list of the most affordable cars under INR 10 lakh with a sunroof. Since we picked the affordable end of the market, all the cars in that list offered a single-pane sunroof. However, the double-pane sunroof, which is also regarded as a panoramic sunroof, is the more aspirational feature among buyers compared to a single-pane unit. Since it is larger and generally seen in more expensive models, we have compiled a list of cars offering panoramic sunroof under INR 20 lakh ex-showroom.
1. Hyundai Creta
Hyundai Creta is the most affordable car in the Indian market to offer a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. The Creta offers a panoramic sunroof from the S+ Knight variant onwards and its price starts from INR 13.96 lakh ex-showroom. Along with the panoramic sunroof, the higher variants of the Creta also offer features like a smart air purifier, powered driver’s seats, front ventilated seats, digital instrument cluster and all-LED headlights.
2. MG Astor
MG Astor offers a panoramic sunroof from its Smart variant onwards and it’s priced at INR 14.21 lakh ex-showroom. In addition to the panoramic sunroof, the Astor also offers features like steering modes, all-LED headlights, level-2 advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS), power-adjustable driver’s seat, rear AC vents, rain-sensing wipers and six airbags.
3. Kia Setlos
The Kia Seltos offered a panoramic sunroof with its recently-launched facelift. The Seltos comes equipped with a sunroof from the HTX variant onwards and it retails at INR 15.20 lakh. In addition to the panoramic sunroof, the Seltos offers features like level-2 ADAS features, dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, front ventilated seats, a powered driver’s seat and a 360-degree parking camera.
4. Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
The Grand Vitara was the first Maruti Suzuki to offer a panoramic sunroof, which was later joined by the Invicto. The Grand Vitara offers a panoramic sunroof in its top-spec Alpha variant with the normal petrol and Zeta+ and Alpha+ with the strong hybrid powertrain option. The most affordable variant of the Grand Vitara equipped with panoramic sunroof retails at INR 15.41 lakh. In addition to a panoramic sunroof, it also offers features like a 360-degree parking camera, head-up display, front-ventilated seats, connected LED tail lights and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
5. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder
The Urban Cruiser Hyryder shares its underpinnings and features with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. It offers a panoramic sunroof in the top-spec V variant with the normal petrol engine and the G and V variant with the strong hybrid engine. The most affordable Urban Cruiser Hyryder equipped with a panoramic sunroof retails at INR 16.04 lakh. In addition to the panoramic sunroof, it also offers features like a 360-degree parking camera, head-up display, front-ventilated seats and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
6. Hyundai Alcazar
The Hyundai Alcazar is the most affordable 3-row vehicle in this list to offer a panoramic sunroof. It is also the only SUV in this list to offer the panoramic sunroof as a standard fitment across its variants. The Alcazar offers a sunroof from its Prestige variant onwards, which retails at INR 16.77 lakh. In addition to the panoramic sunroof, the Alcazar also offers features like a smart air purifier, digital driver’s display, 360-degree parking camera and folding tables for the 2nd-row.
7. MG Hector
The MG Hector is the only SUV, not only in this list but also in this segment, to offer both single- and dual-pane panoramic sunroofs. The Hector offers the dual-pane panoramic sunroof from the Smart variant onwards and it retails at INR 16.80 lakh. In addition to the panoramic sunroof, the Hector also offers features like level-2 ADAS features, a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, drive modes, 360-degree parking camera, front powered and ventilated seats.
8. Mahindra XUV700
The Mahindra XUV700 offers a panoramic sunroof from the AX5 variant onwards, which retails at INR 17.84 lakh. In addition to the panoramic sunroof, the XUV700 also offers features like advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS), 360-degree parking camera, 12-speaker 3D sound system, side and curtain airbags, power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function and rain-sensing wipers.
9. Tata Harrier
Tata Motors recently updated the Harrier with a facelift. The facelift brought new features along with a new nomenclature for its variants. The Harrier offers a panoramic sunroof from its Pure+ S variant onwards, which retails at INR 19.69 lakh. In addition to the panoramic sunroof, the Harrier facelift also offers features like a 360-degree parking camera, level-2 ADAS features, a wireless phone charger, powered front seats, front ventilated seats and a digital instrument cluster.
