The automotive market is an ever-evolving space where customer preferences change from time to time. New features come in and become so aspirational that not having those features in your new car could be detrimental to your snob value. Arguably one of the most aspirational features these days is a sunroof. While a panoramic sunroof is something everyone wants in their new car, we are going to focus on the entry point to this luxury, which is the single-pane sunroof. In this article, we share the list of cars under INR 10 lakh with a sunroof.

Tata Altroz

The Tata Altroz is currently the most affordable car in the Indian market to offer a sunroof. The most affordable variant of the Altroz, which offers a sunroof, retails at INR 7.35 lakh ex-showroom. In addition, Tata Altroz also offers other features like a semi-digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, tyre pressure monitoring system, height adjustable seatbelts and cruise control.

Hyundai Exter

Hyundai Exter is the most affordable Hyundai model to offer an electric sunroof. The Exter offers a sunroof from its SX variant, which retails at INR 8.10 lakh ex-showroom. Alongside the sunroof, the top-spec SX(O) Connect variant of the Exter offers features like cruise control, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, a tyre pressure monitoring system and a digital instrument cluster.

Tata Punch

Soon after the launch of the Hyundai Exter, Tata Motors updated the Punch with new features including a sunroof. The Punch offers the sunroof in its Accomplished variant, only if specced with the Sunroof pack. The Sunroof pack of the Punch brings other features like automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, roof rails and a shark fin antenna. The Punch Accomplished with the Sunroof pack retails at INR 8.25 lakh ex-showroom.

Mahindra XUV300

The Mahindra XUV300 is the most affordable SUV from Mahindra that offers a sunroof. The XUV300 offers a sunroof right from its second-base W4 variant, which retails at INR 8.66 lakh. The higher variants of the XUV300 also offer features such as dual-zone climate control, multi-coloured dials for the instrument cluster, steering modes, tyre pressure monitoring system and auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror.

Hyundai i20

Hyundai recently updated the i20 with a minor facelift and it continues to offer a sunroof from its Asta variant onwards. The i20 Asta retails at INR 9.29 lakh ex-showroom, making it considerably more expensive than the Tata Altroz. Alongside the sunroof, the i20 also offers other features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system, wireless phone charger and LED headlights.

Kia Sonet

The Kia Sonet offers an electric sunroof from its HTK+ variant onwards, which retails at Rs. 9.64 lakh ex-showroom. It is worth noting that the sunroof is only available with the 1.2L and 1.0L petrol engine options. Alongside the sunroof, the Sonet also offers features such as a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a smart air purifier, drive and traction modes and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. 

Tata Nexon

Tata Nexon recently received a major update which brought a whole set of new features. The Nexon offers a sunroof from its Smart variant onwards if specced the Sunroof pack. The Nexon Smart+ S variant retails at INR 9.70 lakh ex-showroom. The Sunroof pack offers other features like automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, roof rails and a knitted roof liner. The higher variants of the Nexon further offer features like a digital instrument cluster, front-ventilated seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a 360-degree parking camera.

Hyundai Venue

The Hyundai Venue offers an electric sunroof from its SX variant onwards, which retails at INR 11 lakh ex-showroom. In addition to the sunroof, the higher variants of the Venue also offer features like a wireless phone charger, powered driver’s seat, ambient lighting, paddle shifters, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a digital instrument cluster.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

The Brezza is the only Maruti Suzuki model to offer a single-pane sunroof, with the Grand Vitara and Invicto offering a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. The Brezza offers a sunroof from its ZXI variant onwards, which retails at INR 11.05 lakh ex-showroom. In addition to the sunroof, the Brezza also offers features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, a 360-degree parking camera and a head-up display.
