Commenting on the sales numbers for August 2023, Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., noted that these figures reflect the increasing acceptance of Hyundai’s products in both domestic and export markets. He highlighted the positive start to the festival season in India, with strong sales during Onam in the Kerala market, indicating the festive spirit that is expected to prevail in various parts of the country in the coming months.
Garg also emphasized the robust demand for SUVs in Hyundai’s portfolio, with SUVs contributing to more than 60% of the company’s domestic sales in August. He mentioned the continued excitement among customers for the Hyundai EXTER model, with over 65,000 bookings received by HMIL to date.
