The 14th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) and 8th Mission Innovation Meeting are set to take place in Goa from July 19 to 22, 2023. Hosted by India’s Ministry of Power and Ministry of Science and Technology, the event will coincide with the G20 summit and focus on accelerating the global shift towards clean energy solutions.
Key sectors like battery storage, sustainable cooling, energy access, low-carbon hydrogen, biofuels, and industry decarbonization will be addressed during the meeting. The CEM14 will facilitate collaboration among influential stakeholders in these fields, fostering practical actions to shape the future of clean energy.
Notably, the event will see the introduction of the CEM Marine Hubs initiative and the Hydrogen Trade Forum, which are aimed at propelling cleaner energy transformation. Running parallel to the G20 summit, the gathering will serve as a platform to launch initiatives and discuss strategies that promote sustainable energy practices.
The meeting will also feature discussions on various reports and policy briefs, disseminating insights and recommendations through side events. As a united effort, the 14th Clean Energy Ministerial will work towards fostering global cooperation and advancing innovative solutions to address pressing energy and environmental challenges.
