Audi pulled the wraps off the production-ready Q6 e-tron and its more potent sibling, the SQ6 e-tron. These are the first models from Audi based on the new Premium Platform Electric, or PPE (co-developed with Porsche). The same platform also underpins the Macan EV.
It is positioned in the premium midsize segment and sits between the Q4 e-tron and the Q8 e-tron.
‘Bank Charging Feature’ – If the vehicle is charged using a 400V charging station, the pack is divided into two batteries at equal voltage, which can be charged in parallel at up to 135kW.
The Q6 e-tron’s electronic brain consists of Audi’s newly developed E3 1.2 electronic architecture – five high-performance computers manage the in-car infotainment and driving functions.
PPE – 800V architecture | Charging Capacity: 270kW | Battery Capacity – 100kWh (Same on both versions)
World's first ‘active digital’ light signature – up to eight digital light signatures on offer, the second-generation digital OLED rear lights can even display specific light signatures based on the car’s surroundings (works via Car-to-X).
Acceleration (0-100km/h) – Q6 e-tron: 5.9 seconds | SQ6 e-tron: 4.3 seconds
Customer deliveries are to begin in Q3 2024. Only AWD variants will go on sale initially. More efficient RWD variants will be added to the line-up later.
