Tata Motors’ #Dark Edition range has been well-accepted by the Indian market, to the extent that other carmakers have also started to introduce such variants or options for their offerings, Maruti Suzuki Nexa Black Edition and Hyundai Knight Edition to name a few. The carmaker has now introduced the popular #Dark Edition range to the new Nexon and Nexon EV.Â
The biggest change for both Nexon and Nexon EV #Dark Edition is the addition of an all-black exterior colour, which also includes a black finish for the bumpers, skid plates, alloy wheels and other design elements. The interior also holds a similar story, in the form of an all-black dashboard and black leatherette seats. The seat headrests also boast #Dark embossing, which is a standard feature across all #Dark Edition range of SUVs.
It is worth mentioning that the new Nexon and Nexon EV joins the existing range of the #Dark Edition range, which includes the Harrier #Dark and Safari #Dark. The press release shared by Tata Motors misinterprets the launch of the Harrier and Safari #Dark as new while the respective editions were available from the launch of the updated 2023 Harrier and Safari SUVs.Â
Speaking of pricing, the Nexon #Dark Edition range starts from INR 11.45 lakh ex-showroom, making it the most affordable edition in the brand’s portfolio. While Tata Motors’ website is yet to list the available variants for the #Dark Edition, we anticipate the Nexon to offer its #Dark Edition with both diesel and turbo petrol engine options, with both manual and automatic transmission options.
The Nexon EV #Dark Edition range starts from INR 19.49 lakh ex-showroom, PAN India since it is only offered in the top-spec Empowered+ LR variant. Compared to the Empowered+ LR Nexon EV, the #Dark Edition commands an additional premium of INR 20,000. Lastly, the Harrier and Safari #Dark Edition range starts from INR 20 lakh and 20.70 lakh, ex-showroom, respectively.
