Kawasaki has launched the 2024 Eliminator cruiser motorcycle in the Indian market at INR 5.62 lakh ex-showroom. The Eliminator shares its underpinnings and parallel-twin engine with smaller Kawasaki motorcycles. The Kawasaki Eliminator deliveries will begin in mid-January 2024.
Like before, the Kawasaki Eliminator carries the neo-retro cruiser design. In addition, the Eliminator also features a long and low seat to comfortably accommodate riders of different builds. Its new lightweight trellis frame offers optimum rigidity and agility while keeping the weight low.
The 2024 Kawasaki Eliminator also features a new 451cc parallel-twin borrowed from the Ninja 400. While the engine is the same as that of the Ninja 400, it features a 6.8mm longer stroke, thus enabling a strong low-end torque delivery. In addition, the large 32mm throttle valves offer abundant airflow for strong performance while a large 5.8L airbox ensures optimum intake efficiency.
As a result, the engine puts out 45PS at 9,000rpm and 42.6Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed sequential manual transmission, the final drive ratio of which is similar to that of the Ninja 400. It also adds an assist and slipper clutch, enabling an easier clutch action.
Speaking about other details of the 2024 Eliminator, it runs on an 18-inch front wheel with 130/70-18 tyre and a 16-inch rear wheel with 150/80-16 tyre. Braking duties are handled by a 310mm semi-floating petal front brake disc and 220mm rear petal disc.Â
Befitting its simple design, the Eliminator also runs a fairly old-school suspension setup. At the front, it gets the regular telescopic forks while the rear sits on twin shock absorbers. Speaking of modern details, it gets an all-LED headlight up front and an LCD digital instrument cluster with Kawasaki’s smartphone connectivity.
In addition to the standard package, Kawasaki also offers a range of accessories for the 2024 Eliminator. These accessories include a rear carrier, tank pad, radiator screen and frame sliders. The aforementioned accessories are geared towards improving the cruiser riding experience.
